Sheikh Muqbil bin Hadi al-Wadi’i said on this work: “In the study of “Sahih al-Musnad Mimma Laysa fi as-Sahihayn” I used to pass through Ahadith that appear to be correct (Sahih and authentic), but I find them in another book to be Mu’illah (derived from the word ‘illa, that is, weakness in its chain of authority). A researcher would perhaps read them and think that I should check their chain of authority for their authenticity. So I set aside a notebook for these Hadiths, collecting about four hundred, and then compiling them in a single book, to make them more useful, as was the case with “Sahih al-Musnad Mimma Laysa fi as-Sahihayn”. I ask Allah to benefit from it, and to make my work sincerely for His Sake.
Most of these benefits come from the books of the scholars, as you will find out, Allah willing. I have only made the collection, and All Praise is due to Allah Who has guided me to it.”
